How to Delete Your Data

This page explains how to delete your data from Salah Habit, the prayer app made by Venturity Ltd for iPhone and Android. Most of what Salah Habit knows about you is stored on your device. Some things are held on our servers: your anonymous account record, subscription status, mosque subscriptions, support messages, and anything you shared to the Ummah Feed. You can delete both from inside the app.

Delete everything

Open Settings → Delete Account in the app and confirm. This erases your account record and sign-in on our servers, everything you posted to the Ummah Feed and the rest of the data listed below, and resets the app on your phone. It happens straight away and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account's subscription settings on iPhone, or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android.

Delete only your Ummah Feed profile

Open your Feed profile and choose Delete Feed profile. This removes your profile, posts, replies, likes, follows, bookmarks and uploaded images, and frees your username. The rest of the app is untouched.

Remove the app

Deleting the app from your phone removes the local copy of your data, but it doesn't erase what is held on our servers, so use Delete Account first. Your phone also keeps a small sign-in item after the app is removed, so that a reinstall can find your account: on iPhone, your anonymous account in the Keychain, and on Android, a restore key in Google Play services. Delete Account removes them.

What Data is Deleted

  • Prayer tracking history, streaks and milestones
  • Journal entries and reflections
  • App settings and preferences
  • Your account record and sign-in, subscription history and mosque subscriptions
  • Your Ummah Feed profile, posts, replies, likes, follows, bookmarks, poll votes and uploaded images
  • Support tickets and bug reports, with their attachments
  • Mosque claims you made, including the contact details and evidence you sent
  • Your usage analytics and AI usage records
  • Your votes and reports on the Ideas board, and the link between you and the ideas you posted
  • On Android, the restore key that brings your account back after a reinstall

What is kept

  • Ideas you posted stay on the Ideas board, without your name.
  • Mosque timetables, photos and details you submitted stay with the mosque as community information.
  • Reports you made about Feed content are kept for safety, without your identity. Resolved reports are deleted after 180 days, and moderation records after 12 months.
  • Records of which announcements and promotions were shown, opened or tapped, and announcement poll answers, stay linked only to the random account identifier, which no longer leads to an account.
  • Records of your purchases stay with Apple or Google and with our subscription provider.
  • Aggregate statistics that cannot identify you.
  • On your phone, a small marker that the phone has received the 3-day Pro gift, with the account identifier and the gift dates, so the gift isn't offered again. It's kept in the Keychain on iPhone and in Google Play services' Block Store on Android, and it stays after you delete the app.
  • Also on your phone, until you delete the app: which announcements and promotions you dismissed, your announcement poll answers and the last weather downloaded. On iPhone, also tool records such as Fasting and Qada, the mosque you follow, your unlock QR code and prayer-mat references; reminders that were already scheduled may still appear until the app next refreshes them.

If you cannot use the app

If you no longer have the app and want your server data erased, email support@salahhabit.com from the address you contacted us with, or send us your user ID (the User ID row in Settings → Account), and we'll delete it within one month.
